Research is focusing on three key points: the street (commercial values), the society (family values) and the culture (aesthetical values).
Students observe and document lifestyles, social interactions, attitudes, expressions, values, tastes, and desires that may not exist in any other country or region. The idea is that by identifying certain signs, visible and invisible, it is possible to understand where they came from and how they could be expressed in product design. |

Combination of theory and practice forms a holistic view of community, seeking information from multiple perspectives and sources.
The outputs that will emerge from this project will hopefully stimulate new experience design creation and inspire new product developments in Nokia. |

However, Only Planet is not only about designing mobile devices or finding new talents. It is a larger view to the present world where local influences turn to be global trends and global trends threat to overrun small distinctive ones. Only Planet truly tries to raise awareness of locality among the design students around the world and within Nokia Design as well.
